Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: fully remote, must reside in the United States

The Job
We believe much of operations can be automated and tested like any other kind of code. We do this using Jenkins and GoCD with Terraform and SaltStack currently. Speaking of code our current stack is Backend: Python, Django, Celery, Redis, RMQ; Frontend: React, HTML (JSX), CSS (in JS), GraphQL; Storage: MySQL, PostgreSQL, S3, Elasticsearch. Most of our infrastructure is on AWS so it is a huge plus if you know and love AWS. We want someone who will focus on day to day operations while you learn to automate and build bigger solutions while being focused on ensuring our product and internal tools are running at the level we and our customers expect.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be working with a team of skilled DevOps and Infrastructure Engineers who are building, securing, and maintaining the operational infrastructure for HireVue. You will take good care of internal customers (application teams) by ensuring they have appropriate access, and allowing their applications to scale with demand. You will implement and enforce strict security standards required by the information security team. You will execute and improve the infrastructure deployment and patching process. You will use code review and other means to ensure high-quality output. You will follow, document, maintain, and improve procedures to ensure audits go smoothly You will also be part of an on-call rotation to ensure the availability of applications and the services they rely on - that means measuring the right metrics, setting up alerts, responding to incidents, and performing "root cause" analysis to prevent future issues.
What ‘Skills’ Do You Need
You've got 'skills' and you know it. Interpersonal communication skills, documentations skills, and security skills. Configuration Management (salt or other tools), Linux, Python (or other language), Terraform, software deployment skills, Database skills (relational and non-relational – i.e. MySQL and JSON-based), Automation skills (Terraform, CI/CD, software deployment skills), video streaming skills, amazing skills. Nunchuck and bow hunting skills are optional.

Ideal Experience:
- 6+ years in an Infrastructure/DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure position
- Experience with AWS
