RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a world class real estate development company headquartered in Hoboken, New Jersey (NJ), is seeking a Human Resources Assistant/Payroll Associate. This client has a 40-year track record of growth but a modern work culture. The company has extremely low turnover and history of promoting its employees.
Duties will include:
- Onboarding new employees: maintains onboarding forms, employee enrollment in the HRIS system, updates employee records and status-change data, provides VOE etc.
- Supports time and attendance system by giving access to new users, enrolling them, maintaining access to admin users.
- Prepares and processes biweekly payrolls for company employees and a weekly payroll for a separate division
- Coordinates with department supervisors for time and attendance systems, collects timesheets, PTO balances, approvals, maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures
- Creates multiple weekly, biweekly and monthly reports for accounting, IT, HR Director
- Follows up on open workers compensation cases with claim's managers and employee supervisors
- Responds to general inquires on PTO, benefits, 401K and other company policies
- Occasional job postings
- Performs drug screening for managerial positions
- Assists Human Resource Manager with training coordination, organization and other ad hoc work
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience in payroll, time and attendance systems and Human Resources
- Excellent attitude, work ethic and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
