Implements billing and business procedures
Ensures that department performance meets or exceeds performance standards
Executes claims reviews and presents findings to staff
Collaborates with all third-party payers and leadership
Supervises assigned staff
Participates in the hiring and onboarding of new hires
Resolves staff problems and operational/technical problems
Oversees the development of the budgets of appropriate departments
Integrates diversity into department goals and encourages different views and approaches from staff
Maintains department compliancy with hospital policies, performance improvement initiatives and infection control policies and procedures
Bachelor’s degree in business or health care administration or 8 years of professional billing experience
Minimum of 2 years of management experience in financial data processing processes for a physician organization.
Leadership and teamwork abilities
Computer skills and familiarity accessing and using multiple data systems
Extensive knowledge in ICD CPT and HCPCS coding as well as modifier assignment
7-10 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable in either primary care or behavioral health preferred
