Regional Sales Specialist - M&V

Overview The Measurement + Verification (M+V) Regional Sales Specialist grows sales and builds market position by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business opportunities within a region or customer channel. Reporting to the Director, M & V Group, this person will develop and execute a growth plan in conjunction with all Leviton Sales Channel personnel based on identifying target markets and cultivating customer relationships. This person will develop the technical and application skills necessary to act as subject matter expert, (SME), for all metering and data acquisition opportunities in support of Leviton's front line distribution sales force while managing a channel strategic of OEM customers This position will also recommend business partnerships and assist in the development of the overall strategy and business plan. This is a technical sales and business development role. Responsibilities Analyze and segment markets within the region to create business development strategies and take a leadership position in executing approved strategies. Work directly with all Electrical Distribution and Industrial Sales personnel to develop and execute approved sales plans for M & V products within their respective territory. Work with the C.A.S.E. (Consultant, Architect, Specifier, Engineer) community to position the Leviton metering solution as the basis of design for residential multi-family, commercial and industrial facilities. Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing quotations and supporting bid documents, and participate in negotiating successful orders and contracts. Function as the SME in support of all Leviton sales channels to drive M+V sales through the appropriate channel partners/customers Provide pre-sales support and facilitate post-sales support for all project opportunities employing all BU level assets required to deliver exceptional customer experience. Assess product requirements for the market and regularly provide that input to M & V product management. Provides input and recommendations to other BU support personnel who are responsible for executing the overall strategies approved to grow sales and market share for the M & V product line. Monitor, evaluate, and provide recommendations to management on the performance and effectiveness of business development efforts to include potential business alliances. Work closely with the Director, M+V, Sales Operations team and the corporate support staff to ensure product, service, and support is aligned with customer needs and market expectations. Maintain a high level understanding of codes & standards pertaining to energy sub metering, data acquisition; exploit opportunities to position Leviton M & V products and systems as the preferred solution. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University in Marketing or Business Administration and An MBA or equivalent work experience preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in business development Experience with Power Monitoring, Sub-metering, Data Acquisition and/or Power Systems sales highly desirable.
