SUMMARY
The Lead Product Specialist serves as a technical expert working closely with Application Engineers and product developers to drive product development and provide expert help in deployment of complex advanced features. The Lead Product Specialist uses advanced technical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues, ensure product quality, shape direction of new product features.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define complete requirement specification for a complex feature within the tool
  • Collaborate with world-wide team of field application engineers to converge on requirement specifications representing multiple customers
  • Work independently and as a member of a team and motivate others
  • Regional subject matter expert in at least one product area
  • Develop training/educational material for customers
  • Lead customer beta evaluations for significant new functionality, leading to successful deployment in customer design flow
  • Lead user testing of new features, publish results to drive productization, and review product documentation, working with the extended product engineering and field teams
  • Develop prototype solutions and scripts for customer needs to enable a differentiated product
  • Author articles and blogs to promote and advertise product. Prepare, conduct, or assist in conducting product presentations and demonstrations
  • Participate in product presentations and demonstrations at customers and tradeshows
  • Be a mentor for junior levels
  • Provide neat, accurate, and thorough work in a timely manner
  • Complete assignments without specific directions, recognize problems, and apply or suggest viable solutions


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, or related field with 8 years' experience, MS with 6 years' experience, or PhD with 3 years' experience
  • Significant commercial experience with low-power digital design and SOC methodology
  • Proven track record of crafting robust and efficient code
  • Solid TCL, Perl, Python programming skills
  • Experience with Verilog, VHDL and System Verilog
  • Possess strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • Deep sense of ownership, ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues
  • Good communication skills with interest and ability to work closely with customers


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent technical knowledge and commercial experience in using or supporting EDA tools in one or more fields of RTL design, power analysis, functional verification, synthesis, formal verification
  • Experience leading projects and delivering high-quality support for a large-scale commercial software
  • Ability to translate business needs into development plans
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies, and to mentor junior engineers
  • Experience in conducting competitive product evaluations
