Job Description

Project Description:
As a Senior Tibco Spotfire Data Visualization/Report Developer, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and developing Spotfire dashboards, reports and visualizations. You will be responsible for the design, development, documentation and quality assurance.
  • This position will work closely with research investigators as well as project leads to analyze the requirements and implement the systems to support various in-house research projects.
  • Proven experience in delivering validated uses of Spotfire.
Requirements Skills:
  • This is a senior contractor position with a minimum of 3-4 years of experience developing advanced Spotfire dashboards, visualizations.
  • Experience in Tibco Spotfire and Web player skills.
  • Should be able to create data functions in Spotfire and use them in the analysis.
  • Should have worked on all types of available charts in Spotfire and should be able to suggest which chart would be appropriate for a particular scenario.
  • Should be able to work with custom expressions.
  • Working knowledge of Python scripting to create customization features in Spotfire.
  • Be proficient in the use of the Information link.
  • Experience interfacing and working with MongoDB AND SQL DB sources.
  • Ability to connect to data sources using both in-memory and in-DB techniques. Ability to use data on demand.
  • Ability to present documentation and designs and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to present demos to users and clients.
  • Highly effective team player. Good software engineering practices is required.
  • 0-2 years' AWS, Bioinformatics & DOMINO experience.
  • 3-5 years' MongoDB & Tibco Spotfire experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree Computer Science or related discipline. Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in an industry or academic setting.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience visualizing sequence (DNA/Protein) and related annotation data.
  • Experience in bioinformatics and related analytics tools.
Nice To Have:
  • Experience working in Domino and AWS environments.
  • Previous work experience with other biologics visualization tools (e.g. Dotmatics Vortex, R Shiny).
  • Working knowledge of data processing pipeline environments (e.g. Seven Bridges).
This 6+ month position starts ASAP.
