Mid Level Software Engineer

What you will do

• In this vital role, you will be a part of the software/data engineering team developing data pipelines, web UI, conversational AI (chatbot), and Generative AI solutions to support Amgen's global commercial operations.
• Working as part of a SAFe product team, participate in requirement gathering, design discussions, development, implementation, testing, and software validation.
• Website development with React.js, CSS, HTML, Python, node.js.
• Develop web-based applications using generative AI large language models.
• Develop or enhance conversational AI related chatbot, virtual assistance.
• Develop call center automation on AWS or GCP.
• Develop DevOps pipeline to automate build, test, and deployment.
• Develop automated testing and disaster recovery.
• Create and maintain documentation on data flows, architecture diagrams, API interfaces, etc.
• Communicate technical design, implementation issues, and risks clearly and precisely.

Basic Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Data or Software Engineering experience, or Associate’s degree and 6 years of Data or Software Engineering experience, or High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Data or Software Engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid technical background, proficient in Python, plus hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, SQL.
• Experienced with API integration, serverless, microservices architecture.
• Experienced with website development, node.js, React.js.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Function, Dialog Flow, AWS Lambda function, AWS API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.
• Experienced with Generative AI, various LLM related application development; familiar or trained with prompt engineering.
• Experienced with Docker container, and Kubernetes container management system on AWS or GCP.
• Experienced with CICD DevOps for software development.
• Experienced with Agile development methodology.
• Experienced with Google Cloud (GCP) and Amazon Cloud (AWS).
• Experienced with global commercial marketing in the pharmaceutical industry.
• GxP experience.
