Supv Customer Charged Services

Iberdrola Orange, CT Full-Time

Provides both administrative and field supervision to bargaining unit

Service Technicians; resolves customer complaints; responds to

emergency situations and established positive working relations with

other operations related departments.


Supervises the daily activities of field personnel responsible for the repair, installation, and safe operation of company owned gas piping and equipment in accordance with all applicable codes pertaining to natural gas including company, state, federal and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards.

Develops and promotes a high standard of work by coaching and monitoring all employees.

Responds to all emergency situations as needed, coordinates incident activities, and provides on-call/ service center coverage as scheduled.

Collaborates with town/city/state officials regarding the administration and compliance of federal, state, local codes and standards pertaining to natural gas.

Actively manages all pipe fitting work, leak repairs, meter set build and designs, large meter change program as well as all other duties assigned. Assists other departments as required to meet applicable corporate goals and objectives.

Trains and advises field personnel on all fitting department functions.

Responsible for ensuring accurate timekeeping records and monitors various activities of customer service programs.

Actively participates in the promotion of all corporate safety related initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

High school diploma or 5 year's experience with gas regulators and fitting work .

Associates degree is preferred. Must have administrative, communication and decision making abilities. Strong leadership and managerial skills required. Candidate must be available to perform on call duties 24/7/365.

Regulator knowledge or training on regulator operation . A strong working knowledge of the natural gas industry and gas utility operations. Must have good customer service skills.

A credit check will be administered when a prospective employee will be working in Finance, Accounting, Treasury or where duties may involve handling of funds, accounts or cash.
