As an Associate Director Actuarial Services, within UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement, you will provide support for the pricing and filing activities for Medicare Supplement plans. You'll use innovative tools including the largest database of health care information in the world. Join us.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support New Product Pricing and other strategic initiatives
  • Support rate development of new products; gathering data, performing relevant analyses, building models, and collaborating with other areas for necessary inputs
  • Perform specialized analyses in support of emerging strategic initiatives
  • Assist with development of materials, exhibits and visuals to communicate results
  • Prepare and support Medicare Supplement rate filing process for new and existing products

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related technical field from an accredited college/university
  • On the Actuarial exam track, having passed 4 or more Actuarial exams
  • 4+ years of actuarial experience
  • Advanced or higher proficiency in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifcations:

  • ASA or FSA
  • Experience working in a corporate environment that includes experience collecting, analyzing, and summarizing qualitative/quantitative data and using databases
  • Experience working in the healthcare or finance industry 
  • Experience working with actuarial models or pricing
  • Experience with programming
  • Ability to quickly learn and use computer software tools effectively
