Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab - Mercy San Diego

Join our Scripps team of Cath Lab RNs responsible for providing direct patient care including assessment, planning and implementing care; and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. Primary responsibility is to ensure safe high quality patient centered care collaborating with a highly engaged patient care team. Our team remains committed to professional development, dedication to their team members, best care practices, and making patients comfortable and informed about their treatment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently during callback for STEMI and emergency cases on off hours. Moderate sedation competency required as is comfort level with common techniques for airway maintenance, sedation reversal agents, etc.

This is a full time (72 hours per pay period) 8 hour Day shift position with some call.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Minimum (1) one year recent experience as an RN in the Cath Lab or ICU and/or ED
  • Current CA RN License
  • BLS and ACLS for the Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred Experience/Education/Training:
  • Two (2) years Cath Lab experience
  • Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
