AVP, Automation Engineer

Responsibilities: Develop and support infrastructure automation on vRealize Automation platform. Create and maintain single machine and multi-machine blueprint, reservation, advance services, custom properties etc. in vRealize Automation. Create, enhance and maintain new workflows in vRealize Orchestrator. Monitor and maintain the health of all vRealize Automation components in all environments with endpoints in private and public clouds.

Assess and deploy emerging orchestration and virtualization technologies e.g. Docker containers, OpenShift etc., both open source and commercially available on premise and cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Azure and Google. Create and support API integration between the vRealize Automation and ServiceNow environment and other 3rd party integrations as necessary to enhance the organization's automation capabilities. Integration with Infoblox, Puppet and NSX using REST API. Develop, document and maintain automation code in JavaScript .Net and C#. Remain current and assess technologies in the area of virtualization, automation and cloud vs. current installed state. Upgrade planning and execution to set the future direction of technology platforms. Maintain and update technology roadmaps as appropriate. Assess new technology, proof of concept exercises, and implementation.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or five years vRealize Orchestrator*. Experience must include three years of the following: d esign, development and support of infrastructure automation on vRealize Automation platform; create and support API integration between vRealize Automation and ServiceNow; deploy and configure vRealize Business Standard and vRealize Operations Manager; and vRealize Automation Integration with Infoblox, Puppet, NSX, and Remedy systems using SOAP-REST APIs. Experience may be gained concurrently.

*In lieu of Bachelor's degree and five years of experience employer will accept Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or three years vRealize Orchestrator.
