What You Will Do:

We are looking for an RN to join our Apheresis Unit! Under general supervision, performing therapeutic apheresis procedures.  Provide direct patient care in connection with complex apheresis procedures;  perform nursing evaluation;  perform donor phlebotomy and stem cell collections, and assure quality control in the Apheresis unit.

The Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center is a NCI (National Cancer Institute) and provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing various cellular therapies.

What You Need to Be Successful::

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a RN, performing acute patient care in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge and performance with hemapheresis or dialysis is preferred.
  • BSN preferred
  • Current registration as ad Registered Nurse with the Maryland State Board of Nursing Examiners is required (or compact license allowing practice in Maryland)
  • Knowledge of infection control and patient assessment skills are required.  Basic knowledge of hematology, blood banking (immunohematology), American Association of Blood Banks standards and phlebotomy is preferred.
