Job Description

Position Description:
Experienced financial analyst to support the Integrated Mission Operations Contact II (IMOC II) Business Office at the Johnson Space Center with responsibility for all aspects of customer (NASA) and internal corporate business office functions, including financial reporting, cost analysis, Task Order processing, ensuring labor, travel and other expenses are appropriately collected and reported, and managing cost performance/contract value/funding for subcontractors.

Responsibilities:
Performs work directly related to the management policies or general business operations of the company. Typical activities include business management, developing, implementing, and interpreting company policies, financial and business planning, contract administration, and contracting for the purchase of goods or services. Develops and implements business systems, policies, and procedures requiring conceptual and innovative thinking. Completes complex assignments requiring analysis, interpretation, presentation of business data, and recommendation of management action having broad impact on business operations. Responsible for preparation of contract financial deliverable reports (533M, 533Q, Athena labor reports, etc.), which includes the baseline/plan costs, actual costs incurred, and forecasted costs to complete, and performing variance analysis against the planned and forecasted costs. Prepares supplemental/detail cost reports for the program management team. Reconciles and processes monthly cost and fee invoices, performs contract funding projections, approves travel expense reports, monitors and analyzes program level overhead and unallowable expenditures. Prepares Task Order proposal pricing and coordinates/compiles department inputs for annual task order planning. Monitors company indirect rates and implements indirect rate updates. Responsible for corporate financial reporting including revenue and profit reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.

Work & Experience Requirements:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 10+ years of related experience. Experience with CostPoint, Deltek, Cobra, MPM, and SharePoint tools is desirable. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Application suite, especially Excel, which is used to develop/deliver products/data to customers and other internal processes. NASA government contract cost reporting experience is highly desirable. Candidate must have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and be able to effectively communicate in written and verbal form with employees, vendors, program management, internal functional organizations, and customers.
