Based in Omaha, Nebraska, the Payroll Administrator position is a short-term temporary opportunity. What you get to do every single day - Reconciling of employee deductions and other liabilities - Maintain all updates of payroll records by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Review source documents with necessary verification - Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information - Calculate employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments to establish payroll liabilities - Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports - Secure confidential payroll operation information and maintain employee confidence - Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data - Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests - Continue implementation of established policies and procedures to maintain payroll operations, reporting changes where necessary - Certify compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Supporting all internal and external audits related to payroll - Organize and compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages in order to draft relevant reports - Perform other tasks as necessary
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills - Outstanding data entry skills - Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills - Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll - Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - ADP Online experience required - ADP experience is required - Mastery of internal controls - Capable of managing high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred - Previous experience using accounting software
