My client, an industry leader and highly profitable public company HQ in the greater Baltimore/Washington area, is currently seeking a strategic Finance Manager to serve as a business partner to the Vice President in their Columbia, MD location. The Finance Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing standard operating procedures within the finance department, partnering with additional financial support departments, supporting strategic level decision making and positively impacting business performance as a whole. Duties and Responsibilities: - Partner with leadership by presenting financial information to effectively drive business decisions - Manage reconciliation process of ERP, Financial Reporting systems and Business Intelligence Tools to ensure reliability of financial data - Assist in the monthly / quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes. - Work with other functional departments or regions in developing their financial plans - Provide reporting and analysis on financial findings - Analyze significant variances from planned and forecasted results in order to provide interpretative recommendations to management. - Work closely with the Accounting Team to ensure the accuracy of the monthly financial reporting. - Help standardize and maintain key reports and processes. - Perform ad-hoc analysis at the request of various levels of management as needed. - Assist in maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the company?s key industries, major competitors, and market trends. Job Requirements

- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration - 4+ years of similar financial experience, preferably supporting strategic level decision makers - MBA or CPA preferred - Prior experience summarizing and reporting financial findings to all levels of management - High attention to detail and the ability to summarize and reconcile large quantities of data - Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standard of quality
