Technical Program Manager will be the interface of TfB System Architecture Team in Reston, VA to support product and sales organization in a technical advisory role and as a technical SME for TfB product portfolio. The role will interface with key leaders from Sales, Product and Commercialization organizations and will provide necessary technical expertise for key client opportunities pursued by TfB Sales Organization. Executive presence and ability to present to a C-level audience is key for success in this position.
As TPM you will prepare and gain approval of architecture design, generate business requirements for technology, back office teams, billing, taxation, regulatory and prepare training material for the Solution Engineer teams. The role will drive technical roadmaps for each solution with appropriate technology teams and external vendors, provide input to feature prioritization aligned with product roadmaps and support implementation with technology and Sales Engineers
Technical Program Manager, TfB Products and Solutions is a technical leader with good product/business acumen leveraging his technical background, strategic thinking, analytic skills and leadership prowess to successfully deliver innovative and differentiated products for TfB Organization
Responsibilities
* Ability to become technically proficient across TfB Product Portfolio in areas such as 5G, Communication Services and Messaging, SASE/Security Solutions. IoT and Fixed Wireless
* Support Sales organization during preparation of sales presentation and during meetings with key customers executive teams
* Acting in technical SME capacity for custom solution designs for TfB customers
* Define technical and feature roadmap in partnership with product organization and with input from sales organization
* Define Product Architecture and System Design for area of responsibility in close collaboration with product owner, technology and 3rd party vendors; deliverables include architecture design, call flows, define service KPIs and SLA/SLO, ensure standards compliance
* Document business requirements for product/solution and prepare BRD for the enterprise to include product description, architecture design, 3rd party vendor requirements, back office integration and requirements such as billing, taxation, reporting, commissions, CRM integration, government compliance, etc
* Define Go To Market strategy with product and 3rd party vendors to include supported capabilities and product roadmap, Service Level Agreements, installation/commissioning and support
* Prepare training documentation and ensure proper training for Solution Engineering Organization
Education
* Bachelors Degree - STEM required, MS/MBA Preferred
Work Experience:
* 7-10 years' experience in telecommunications or network engineering roles with a professional track record of successful solution sales, managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment, technical leadership and project management, and providing strategic direction in a leadership role
* 7+ years of product management experience on large, complex product initiatives
* 3+ years' experience within the Architecture domain, preferably as an Enterprise Architect, delivering technical architecture design and implementation for customer delivery of end solution
PREFERRED:
* Working knowledge in one of these areas: wireless networks, WAN/LAN access, security products, consumer voice and data products
* Technical documentation and presentation skills are required in order to convey design benefits to a wide range of audiences
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams; excellent interpersonal skills
* Experience working with both technical and non-technical teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills; bias toward making data-based decision and comfortable with analysis
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* At least 18 years of age
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, unless precluded from doing so by applicable law. The CDC currently defines "fully vaccinated" as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
