As we continue to grow, we have an opportunity for an experienced Managed Care Solution Architect experienced with Managed Care platforms and systems integration. This person will provide technical leadership and manage the overall solution design for systems enabling this rapidly growing business segment.
He/she will work with IT leaders, functional, and technical teams throughout the design and implementation of objectives to ensure that the overall composition of their solutions meet the goals of sponsors and enterprise architecture practices.
Understands Managed Care business drivers and business capabilities (current and future state) and determines corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes
Creates detailed design specifications to document the architecture decisions; communicates the architectural specifications to designers, developers, contractors and business sponsors in a directly actionable, clear and unambiguous manner
Identifies the flexibility, speed of implementation, quality, scalability, supportability and total cost of ownership of the solutions being implemented
Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings while maintaining alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture practice
Facilitates architecture design reviews to ensure solution designs meet functional and non-functional requirements, such as security, compliance, system scalability and reliability
Defines principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns, and ensures their adoption and use
Collaborates with Enterprise Architects to review and assess new technologies to ensure compliance with Medline standards
Works closely with IT leaders and application owners to maintain current application and technical inventories and future roadmaps in the Managed Care portfolio
Develops an expertise in business processes and employed technologies; obtains a broad knowledge of the existing application and service landscape
Keeps current on Healthcare technology trends, including researching and implementing new and/or alternate technologies that will further business goals and provide competitive advantages
Partners with vendor and development teams to ensure build activities adhere to agreed service and technical architectures
Maintains a professional demeanor at all times; proactively manages and mitigates portfolio risk
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree in computer science, information-technology, systems engineering or a related study
%26bull; 10+ years of experience multiple IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
%26bull; Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as senior-level executives
%26bull; Natural leader skilled at influencing, guiding and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making
%26bull; Experience building secure applications suitable for commercial Healthcare operations, having familiarity with PHI, PII, and HIPAA compliance requirements
%26bull; Full lifecycle knowledge in some part of the Managed Care architectural domain:
o Triage and Ordering/Fulfillment
o Revenue Management and Billing
o Medical Record Integration and Document Management
%26bull; Technical experience with Patient Order Intake, B2C/B2B2C eCommerce applications, 3rd party EMR integration, patient billing, formulary and patient eligibility rules, electronic document management and partner integration capabilities
%26bull; Large-scale enterprise platform rationalization, modernization and transformation experience
%26bull; An understanding of different integration methodologies including ETL, EDI, asynchronous messaging, service-based integration and file transfer patterns
%26bull; Experience implementing Web Service Integration (REST v2, SOAP), APIs, course grained and micro services
%26bull; Extensive knowledge of Application Performance Monitoring & Management tools such as AppDynamics, ExtraHop, etc.
%26bull; Partnership with application delivery teams, which includes DevOps, unit testing, CI/CD, security testing, performance and load testing
%26bull; Experience in working with multi-site global teams and Agile/SCRUM delivery
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
%26bull; SAP ERP, SCM and S/4HANA integration
%26bull; Experience with Azure Cloud-based architectures and Cloud transformation initiatives
%26bull; Experience with integration platforms like SAP PI or MuleSoft, workload automation like AutoSys and ETL tools like Talend
%26bull; Familiarity with UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
%26bull; Exposure to Oracle PL/SQL development, Java, as well as system administration
