Electrical Journeyman
Key Responsibilities:
Install feeders, wire and conduit
Switchgear and device installations and terminations
Layout and preparation for installation
Perform underground layout and rough-in
Troubleshooting on motors and controls
Possess skills to complete lower job title (apprentice) work
Fully comprehends Electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electric Code
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
Requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, snow)
Must have personal tools with them at all times
Must wear personal protective equipment at all times
Work from all types of ladders and perform work at various heights
Sound eye sight to positively identify colors of wires
Be able to bend conduit with hand or with mechanical benders
Operate trenches, back hoe, and lift in a safe manner
Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or with power equipment
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
Valid driver’s license required
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Comprehends reading and drawing prints and schematics
Practices and comprehends Enertech safety policy
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and team working skills
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
Supervisory Requirements:
None
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements.
