Position: Manager of Surgery Operations - RN
Location: Mishawaka, IN
Compensation: $70,000 - $115,000 + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation
This Client has created a new role for an Operational Manager of Surgery.
This is an employee oriented organization with Great Workplace strategic goals.
Busy service line most notably, ortho, neuro, and trauma.
Here you would become one of the team members within a Division that includes Surgical Services, Pulmonary, Trauma and Emergency Preparedness.
Here you have the ability to work on focused performance improvement initiatives.
In this role you will have the responsibility of co-managing 21 operating rooms, along with a Surgery Clinical Manager.
This role reports to the Director of Perioperative Services.
3+ years of experience working as a SURGERY NURSE
1+ year of leadership experience.
Must have operating room experience in an organization that is multi-service line (excluding transplants and burns).
Must have at minimum a Bachelor of Science - Nursing.
Must be a team player and builder.
It is a plus if you have CNOR certification Active Level II (or Level I) Trauma experience Project Management experience.
Indiana RN license.
Requires schedule flexibility due to the department’s 24 hours per day, 7 days per week operation.
Requires knowledge of nursing care practices, equipment, procedures and techniques utilized within the department.
Requires working knowledge of department policies, procedures and practices.
Demonstrates solid management skills needed to provide effective direction and manage the effective utilization of resources; also requires the ability to promote teamwork.
Requires the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to build and maintain effective working relationships and interact in a highly effective manner with all levels of staff. Also requires the ability to disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrates excellent planning and organization skills necessary for project planning and to coordinate the activities of diverse groups of individuals.
Requires a strong customer service orientation.
