PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

As a shipping and receiving clerk, you are on the front line, making sure that all employees at our company receive deliveries in a timely manner. You also make sure that customers receive the items they ordered in a timely manner, without any mistakes in the delivery. In this way, you are an important liaison between our business and our clients, making sure that everyone gets what they need quickly and efficiently.

. Requirements:

MAJOR AREAS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Receive and process material orders daily, including accepting deliveries, labeling them and distributing packages and letters internally.
  • Coordinate deliveries to customers and clients daily, including boxing goods, addressing packages, and staying in contact with shipping companies.
  • Maintain the company stockroom by cleaning, organizing, and labeling items in storage on a regular basis.
  • Keep records of goods that have been shipped and received, preparing regular shipping, and receiving reports for supervisors.
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by boxing and lifting items as necessary and operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large items.
  • Schedule large shipments and coordinate logistics to ensure that there is enough storage space for incoming items and personnel on hand to manage incoming shipments.
  • Perform customer service duties as necessary, maintaining good relationships with shipping companies and clients who are receiving goods.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience with spreadsheet or database software such as Microsoft Excel.

1-2 years' experience working in a warehouse setting doing shipping & receiving.

Must be US person or PRC holder due to access to products and technology controlled under the ITAR.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Anderson Dahlen fosters a manufacturing type environment. Moderately heavy work requiring the occasional lifting of objects weighing 50 pounds or less. In the performance of essential duties, the incumbent may be required to operate a variety of industrial machining tools.
