SUMMARY

This position involves providing guidance and technical oversight to the team as well as hands on working to design, develop and maintain ETL objects and scripts using advanced Transact SQL scripting.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with planning, management and implementation of solution projects to meet company goals.

Liaise with external/internal resources for ongoing support and development.

Responsible for design and implementation of the ETL data integration process which is accomplished through the use of Dynamic T-SQL, VB.net, ASP.NET, SSIS.

Ensure all work and changes performed are within data warehouse standards and guidelines

Mentor and train less experienced developers.

Perform data object analysis by defining, analyzing, and validating data objects and relationship through the use of advanced T-SQL scripting.

Design, develop and maintain ETL data integration process with the Business Intelligence and IT team.

Implement data objects and integrating data shared across multiple source and target systems. Establish interfaces, developing and modifying functions, programs, routines, and stored procedures to extract, transform, and loads data

Leading coordination of actions among developers, production control, DBA, infrastructure team and project vendor to implement out the ETL scripts and objects.

Validates ETL by developing and executing test plans and scenarios including data design and data quality.

Demonstrates support for the mission, values and goals of the organization through behaviors that are consistent with the Connecticut Children's Medical Center STANDARDS.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Knowledge of Transact SQL is required.

Data visualization software/architecture QlikView, etc.)

Relational Database concept knowledge (SQL Server preferred)

General knowledge of object oriented tools desirable

General computer software (Excel, MS Word, E-mail)

PREFERRED:

Epic Hospital Billing and Professional Billing application and data model experience a plus

Understanding of basic accounting concepts, including General Ledger, Journal Entries

College degree in Computer Science, Business, MIS, or related discipline preferred

High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required

8-10 years prior related technical and business experience required

Microsoft SQL Server, Business Intelligence Analytics, Requirements Analysis and Design, Windows Server Operating Systems, Data Conversion, Data Modeling with relational and dimensional

Prior related experience in coordinating systems related projects preferred.

Proficiency in the following technical concepts necessary

At least 15 years work experience with minimum 10 years of design and development experience in data warehouse, SQL Server.

Advanced T-SQL scripting including dynamic and complex stored procedures experience.

Self-managing and ability to lead project solution end-to-end.

Data Visualization experience using Tableau, Qlik and others.

Experience SSIS, ASP.NET and Tivoli scheduler.

PREFERRED:

Experience with Epic Hospital Billing and Professional Billing application and Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle data models
