Payment Posting Specialist  Location: Chattanooga, TN Compensation: $14.00 hr. Contract To Hire Excellent Benefits Package   Cash Applications/ Payment Posting/Accounts Receivable $14.00 hr. Kelly Services is actively seeking Cash applications professionals/medical payment processors for our client located in the Chattanooga TN area. Our client fosters a family oriented environment and prides themselves on Integrity and their committment to empower, inspire people to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a family oriented company and work with a dynamic team in processing a high volume of insurance payments, per EOB accordingly with reconciling at the end of each day. This is a full time contract position with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. It may become contract to hire for the right candidate based on performance. Must be able to interpret EOB'S and have experience in accounting with cash applications, accounts receivable, or payable is a must. Health Care background is a plus.  The ideal candidates will bring 1-2 yrs experience working in the health care industry, processsing medical payments and knowledge of EOB'S (explanation of benefits). This position will report to the Accounting Supervisor and interact daily with other accounting professionals. The candidate will be detail oriented with a strong attention to accuracy, excellent communications, 10 key skills and proficiency with Microsoft applications Excel (Intermediate)   Job Summary: This position is responsible for timely and accurate payment posting of payments from medical insurance providers, patients and third party carriers such as Medicare and Medicaid. Job Functions: 

  • Posting Payments, manually and electronically post payments per the EOB.
  • Reconcile all posted payments to the deposit at the end of every calendar day.
  • Resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Provide excellent communications per customer requests regarding claims/payments
  • Meet productivity goals with timely and accurate processing

Requirements:

  • High School Dimploma 
  • 1-2 yrs experience in accounting and payment processing
  • Experience within the Health Care realm reading EOB's (explanation of benefits)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong 10 key skills
  • Excellent Communications
  • Team Oriented
  • Positive Attitude
