Company is embarking on building a scalable, multi-purpose, private equity analytics platform to enhance our portfolio construction, risk management, and quantitative research function. To lead this endeavor, Company is searching for a proven leader with success in delivering large scale business capabilities through technology enablement. The Vice President, IT Quantitative Research Platform should have the ability to define the overall strategy and development of a multi-generational plan in order to successfully lead this endeavor. This role includes direct oversight, technical leadership, and a willingness to engage in a hands-on capacity to ensure desired outcomes are delivered.
The Vice President, IT Quantitative Research platform must be knowledgeable about both internal and external business environments in order to ensure that information systems are maintained in a fully functional and secure mode compliant with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate is a thought leader and an influencer strengthening the bridges between business and technology. He/she is an integrator of people, process, and technology, and is able to coordinate disparate drivers, constraints, and personalities while maintaining objectivity with a strong understanding of desired outcomes for the organization to deliver on its business goals and objectives. Ultimately, the Vice President, IT Quantitative Research Platform is a business leader and should have a track record of competency in the field of data and platform strategies and/or risk management, with ten or more years of relevant experience, including eight years in a significant leadership role.
Additional skills required should include knowledge of complicated database architecture, programming methods, development concepts, project and resource planning and management, understanding of software applications, understanding of IT roadmaps and application development practices, and proven success in managing a team and executing.
