Manufacturing Process Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for the High-Speed Surface Mount process to ensure that Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing quality and deadlines are met. This position is a hands-on out on the manufacturing floor to support and troubleshoot the SMT process, gather & analyze data, implement continuous improvement initiatives. Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Creates and updates programs for the Client Pick and Place equipment, automated inspection equipment and selective solder.
• Specify the design and coordination of tooling: stencils, SMT fixtures, and other special tooling and calibration records.
• Writes process instructions and manufacturing instructions using BOM and Gerber assembly drawings.
• Technical interface with customers on manufacturing and manufacturing ability issues.
• Continuous improvement uses tools lean principals and Six Sigma.
• Manufacturing process instructions generation and implementation; verify builds process, visual aids, work instructions, and ensure templates are kept up to date.
• Performs cycle time studies for customer products and inline processes.
• Oversee the QMS Management System

• Cleaning machine
• Client Pick and place machines
• Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)

Qualifications
2-4 years in Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing environment preferred. Experience with surface mount technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience reading bill of materials, Gerber files or other engineering drawings
• Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
