Reports to: Emergency Department Director
Minimum Education Associate’s degree Required ***Copy of Degree/Diploma required by first day of employment
Minimum Work Experience 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience preferred. 1 year Paramedic, EMT or ED Tech experience combined with 1 year RN experience will be considered.
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Skills Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required on hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required on hire TNCC within 6 months of hire
Competencies: Moderate and Deep Sedation within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter. EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
Required Skills Licenses: AZ RN License or Compact State Nursing license required on hire
