A Magnet designated acute care hospital located in the central Connecticut region is seeking experienced Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join their accredited healthcare team.

The Obstetric Surgical Technologist will join a health system that operated more than 15 locations across the central Connecticut region. This facility is home to more than 150 licensed beds and the emergency department is responsible for more than 50,000 patients annually. This hospital provides award-winning medical and surgical services including ambulatory care, behavioral health, cardiovascular services, emergency and trauma medicine, critical care, perioperative services, women’s health, and much more.

The Obstetric Surgical Technologist will work alongside a network of obstetricians and talented obstetric certified surgeons, nurses, and technicians. The Obstetric Surgical Technologist will perform scrub duties and related procedures utilizing the Patient-Centered Care Model. The Obstetric Surgical Technologist will work under the direction of the certified Obstetric Registered Nurse and provide direct care to patients.

The Obstetric Surgical Technologist must be a High School graduate with current Surgical Technologist certification. Knowledge of basic patient care procedures, medical terminology, and surgical instruments is required. The Obstetric Surgical Technologist must be a team player willing to work collaboratively amongst an advanced obstetric service line.
