Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Assistant Program Director under the supervision of the START Director to provide community-based crisis intervention services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise clinical team leaders
  • Identify and coordinate necessary trainings for team members
  • Coordinate clinical services in collaboration with the Clinical Director
  • Ensure the collection of required data and documentation on consumer access and utilization of START services
  • Collaborate with other members of the START leadership team to monitor quality of START service delivery and assure fidelity to the START model
  • Based on feedback of clinical teams, identify training/support needs of the community
  • Coordinate community trainings with the Clinical Director
  • Provide support as needed to clinical team 24/7/365
  • Participate in and complete the START Coordinator Certification process

  • A minimum of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other human service field with 2 years' experience working with people with IDD mental health and/or challenging behavior needs

AND

  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Must be a certified START coordinator or have the ability to complete the START coordinator certification process within 6-12 months of hiring
  • Prior experience as a START coordinator and/or START clinical team leader preferred
