Sales Operations Specialist

Position Overview:
The Sales Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in helping the Senior Director of Sales Operations to optimize sales processes and maximize efficiency within the Sales department. Responsibilities will include helping to develop and refine various operational processes such as the sales funnel workflow, sales analytics, and lead management. By leveraging sales data analysis, they help to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, generating insightful reports to track progress and performance. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Sales Operations and working closely with the sales team, they help address operational needs, provide CRM support, and help ensure accurate maintenance of customer and sales records. Additionally, they help facilitate campaign execution, provide training on operational tools, and offer guidance on promotional activities. The ideal candidate possesses experience in sales operations or business development, and demonstrates proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to multitask and work under pressure, are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities of the Sales Operations Specialist:
- Help to maintain and optimize sales operations processes, such as order management, customer segmentation, pricing, quoting, and lead management
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities and create reports to track progress and performance
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Sales Operations and the Sales team to understand their operational needs and help achieve their goals
- Utilize CRM to develop and maintain accurate customer and sales records
- Help the Sales team to optimize sales effectiveness and efficiency in the CRM
- Create and manage sales documentation, including sales plans, SOPs, and job aids
- Assist the Sales team with the execution of campaigns and promotions
- Provide training and support to sales personnel on operations processes and tools
Qualifications for the Sales Operations Specialist:
- 2 - 3 years of experience in sales operations, operations management, and business development is preferred
- Proficient in CRM software (HubSpot ideally), sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Able to multitask and prioritize projects
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration a related field is required
