Regional Sales Associate & FieldCare Sales Associate
Regional Sales Associate:
Assist Regional Sales Manager (RSM) within the territory to promote sales of Tarkett Sports products and provide clients with the necessary information and tools to make wise decisions in designing, purchasing, and the installation of Tarkett Sports products. The process begins with the initial contact with the clients and continues through purchasing, installation, completion and follow-up with service after the sale. This position also requires: Seeking and tracking potential sales leads in athletic surfacing areas such as schools, colleges, and sports arenas. Strong relationship and network building skills. Establish and present Sales presentations. Meet and confer with architects, engineers and consultants concerning the planning of future projects. Trade Show attendance. Complete necessary clerical duties including Salesforce.com.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for assisting the local RSM with the day-to-day Operations to include:
- Revenue generation from the general contracting and subcontracting of athletic facilities focused on Tarkett Sports surfacing products for any sports or general use venues in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.
- Closely working with clients to close contracts for the sale and installation of Tarkett Sports product suite. Clients include key personnel of schools, universities, parks and municipalities, as well as architectural & engineering firms to promote our sports surfacing solutions.
- Strongly build, trust-based relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the accounts and region. Work to establish yourself and then maintain industry expert status with regional stakeholders.
- Closely work with Regional Sales Manager and the internal support team to learn the inner workings of coordinating project deliverables to include budgets, proposals, RFPs and customer service.
- Shadow Regional Sales Manager to learn best practices in region for skills including presentation of products to potential clients, including a review of existing facilities, conceptual facility designs, sample material and literature. These presentations will occur in both formal and informal settings. Recommend the use of our product specifications in the bid documents. Arrange and manage site visits to current facilities.
- Evaluation, strategy planning and execution
- Follow the sale through the production cycle to ensure total customer satisfaction. Includes pre-installation visits, site visits during the installation of material and walk through after the installation if necessary.
- Learn how to use internal CRM systems to be able to update Salesforce.com with all potential leads, opportunities and results daily as well as provide weekly feedback to Regional Sales Manager.
- A key component of the role is attending trade shows to market our products to specific track audiences. Follow up on leads derived from trade shows in a timely manner.
- Maintain personal contact with potential customers, current customers and past customers to maintain good customer satisfaction.
- Traveling is required – up to 50% of the time during certain months of the year.

FieldCare Sales Associate:
Under the general supervision of the Field Service Manager, the FieldCare Sales Associate will focus on customer acquisition. This position involves cold calling new potential clients, client business referrals, or web leads. Provide prospective customers/clients with maintenance services offered, and additional presentations as needed. Work with client to create solutions for their needs and consult through the sales process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.
More specifically, you will have to:
- Answer/monitor/maintain customer maintenance requests and concerns in assigned territory.
- Organized and able to process orders in person, via email and/or phone.
- Reach out and visit new/existing customers onsite to grow the service business and discuss field replacement process as needed.
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
- Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support
- Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
- Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
- Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients
- Presenting and delivering information to potential clients
- Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
- Working with sales team, project management team, customer service team, etc.
- Building pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales
- Maintaining database (Salesforce, etc.) of prospective client information
- Commitment to meeting or exceeding sales targets, reporting any deviations.
- Commitment to staying informed regarding new products and features.
EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travels, up to 50% of the time during certain months of the year.
