Director of Delivery – Property & Casualty Insurance
**Location - Multiple locations across West Coast, Midwest and East Coast**.
The Delivery Director for IT Services is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects and services to clients. This role involves managing multiple project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Delivery Director will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team of project managers, technical leads, and service delivery professionals.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management to ensure team effectiveness and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Project and Service Delivery:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects and services, ensuring alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
- Develop and implement delivery strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project and service delivery matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address and resolve client concerns and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Monitor project costs, manage financial forecasts, and report on financial performance.
- Implement cost-saving measures and efficiencies without compromising quality.
Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the IT services strategy and roadmap.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements, innovation, and expansion.
- Align project and service delivery activities with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all IT services and project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and client expectations.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes and metrics.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of service delivery practices and outcomes.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure that all projects and services comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
- Implement and monitor governance frameworks and processes to ensure compliance and risk management.
Required skill sets & Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in P&C insurance, hands-on experience with Guidewire systems, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of Guidewire implementations and other P&C insurance projects.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) to guide project execution.
- Ensure best practices and methodologies for Guidewire implementations are followed.
- Stay updated on Guidewire advancements and incorporate them into project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 8-12 years) in IT service delivery, project management, or a related role, with a proven track record of successful project execution and client management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, with travel required to client locations and project needs.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular business hours may be required to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
