We at Perspecta are currently seeking a SENIOR NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems and provides overall level 2 support. Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of network systems. Evaluates hardware and software and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks. Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements. Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance and problem resolution. Trains users, maintains, creates and deletes user accounts. Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms. Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures and standards. Enforces network security procedures.

 

• Responsible for delivery of assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of a project. Understands a broad spectrum of company technology in order to deliver part of a detailed technical design, which meets customer requirements. Tasks may include installing new systems applications; updating applications, firmware, and drivers; creating boundaries for as well as performing configuration and testing activities; applications programming for assigned modules within a larger program; assisting in the preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations; and participating in customer meetings.

• Works with minimal direction from the technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks. Contributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the development of technical solutions.
• Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers. Understands company strategy and the role that the individual plays.
• Uses knowledge tools and reuses information for the benefit of projects, and of professional development.
• Uses and contributes to technical forums within the company environment and local professional communities and technical user groups. Focuses on single customer. Brings some specialized knowledge to a project team and solves moderately complex problems.
 

Career level with a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts. Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

Requires a Strong understanding of LAN/WAN infrastructure including planning, testing, installation, support, and maintenance. Must have extensive experience operating Cisco routers and switches, TCP/IP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, VoIP, firewall, VSAT and structured cabling.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Required:
 
9-12 total year of experience 
Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5 - 7 yrs of experience, or a Master's and 3 to 5 yrs of experience
 
Knowledge and Skills Required:
 
• Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to be individually responsible for the implementation of a specific deliverable. Able to contribute to the design for deliverables.
• Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems on individual products.
• Able to communicate broad and specific concepts with team and to peers.
• Able to produce documentation for use by team and customer.

4 years of experience in a network technician or helpdesk environment Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) IT Project Manager (CompTIA Project ) CompTIA Security .  Years of experience may substitute for formal education/degree.   Secret clearance required. 
For Cannon AFB will require to have 1 person that has a Top Secret Clearance
