Learning & Development Consultant

Wells Fargo Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Full-Time
About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Learning & Development Consultant as part of the Learning and Development Team supporting the Wealth and Investment Management group.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide consulting, coaching, and delivery as needed to individual contributors and managers related to the implementation of technical, functional, product skills, or relevant competencies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within scope of responsibilities or functional area
  • Review and analyze basic operational assignments that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, exercise independent judgement to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Use knowledge of development programs across a few business disciplines to articulate the interconnectivity and business impact of various learning solutions
  • Partner with instructional design team to develop curricula, courses and materials gathered from consultative needs assessments, learning participants, business opportunities and needs of client groups
  • Provide direction and mentorship to other Learning and Development consultants
  • Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise in functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders, including internal, as well as external customers
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Learning and Development Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Series 7 and 66 within 180 days of hire
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial services preferably within Wealth and Investment Management
  • Successfully completed Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 66 (or 63 and 65) and Series 7 examinations (or FINRA recognized equivalents) sufficient to qualify for immediate FINRA registration
  • Experience coaching, developing and mentoring less experienced individuals
  • Experience influencing, partnering, and negotiating with leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Experience collaborating with subject-matter experts from various lines of businesses and instructional designers to ensure training meets the desired learning objectives
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Job Expectations:
  • Registration for FINRA Series 66 (or 63 and 65), Series 7 and SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Position Locations include: Charlotte, NC; Phoenix, AZ; Chandler, AZ; Minneapolis, MN; San Antonio, TX; Irving, TX; West Des Moines, IA
  • Position will require onsite presence in a hybrid arrangement-3 days in the office and 2 days remote
