The Education Department at Saint Xavier University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, 9-month faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The selected candidate with expertise in Middle Level and/or Secondary will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Alternative Licensure, Middle Level, and Secondary Education teacher preparation programs. The candidate will also engage in scholarship, student advising, department, and university service and serve as the point person for the Education Department's assessment, data management, and accreditation.

* Undergraduate and Graduate Instruction - four courses (12 credits) per semester, may be in-person or online
* Academic Advising - formal academic advising and mentoring of Education students
* Assessment coordination - coordination and management of assessment and accreditation activities within the Department
* Productivity in scholarship and securing external grants
* Department collaboration with Director, Faculty, and Staff
* Department and University service
* Participation in student recruitment efforts

Engagement with other faculty tasks associated with the Department, College, or University

* Earned doctorate in the field of education - Learning Sciences, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, or related
* Teaching experience at the K-12 and collegiate level required
* Record of scholarly activity or promise of research productivity
* Knowledge of current policies and practices associated with middle level or secondary education
* Knowledge of/experience with state and national education teacher education requirements
* Knowledge of/experience with educational assessment and measurement
* Cultural competencies to include teaching, service, and research in diverse learning communities
* Permission to work in the United States
