Job Title: Network Security Field Engineer
Work Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: Long term contract w/ option to hire
Education/Experience Required: Knowledge of TCP/IP networking: DNS, DHCP, VPN and security protocols; Strong experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Proxies, DLP, DDoS, and Malware inspections solutions

Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical meetings with customers and partners to highlight our products and solutions. Perform design work for partners and resellers
  • Perform and review vulnerability scans without impacting network operations
  • Perform network security threat/impact assessments and prepare assessment reports
  • Assist with client Cybersecurity program to include monitoring and tracking of notifications and provide technical assistance as required
  • Provide remediation guidance and recommendations
  • Monitor and assist with host-based security across the multiple clients to include: anti-malware, host-based intrusion protection system, data loss prevention, and rogue system detection
  • Generate vulnerability assessment reports for customers and escalate for further review
  • Support the review and update of corporate and client policies, procedures, processes, manuals, and other documentation
  • Hold on-going education sessions with our partners and clients

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking: DNS, DHCP, VPN and security protocols
  • Strong experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Proxies, DLP, DDoS, and Malware inspections solutions
  • Experience with Security Design and Review
  • Familiar with US-based Cyber Security standards and controls (NIST, SANS, CIS Controls)
  • Experience with MFA
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a technical environment
  • Ability to demonstrate good customer diplomacy skills and problem ownership
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 80%
Desired Requirements:
  • Well organized and appreciates good documentation
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
  • 3-5 yrs STRONG NETWORKING experience in ISP Support, security monitoring or related networking position
  • Experience with security analysis and solutions in a WAN/LAN environment
  • Experience performing and interpreting security scans with tools such as Nessus or Darktrace
  • Experience configuring Cisco, Meraki, FortiNet or Aruba equipment
  • Demonstrate understanding of Risk Management/Risk Treatment
  • Experience coordinating delivery of project/changes milestones, ensures projects stay on target, escalating and identifying roadblocks.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
  • Ability to understand the requirements and analyze the technical feasibility and design against the requirements
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (Niagara, Continuum, etc.)
  • Security Certifications: CCNA Security, CEH, CISSP, CCSP, or SSCP
