Machinist Instructor with Security Clearance

QinetiQ Herndon, VA (Onsite) Full-Time
Position Overview Qinetiq US is seeking an instructor for metal machining and fabrication.
Duties include: The selected applicant will : Be responsible for developing a course curriculum and instructing a range of disciplines such as CNC machining, manual machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.
Responsible for mentoring staff outside of training courses.
This position requires sound judgment, interpersonal skills, and technical expertise.
Required Qualifications TS/SCI (with Poly) - Highly motivated and skilled instructor with a demonstrated ability to train others in a machine shop environment #qinetiqclearedjob Must have a strong computer aided manufacturing (CAM) and machining theory background Demonstrated expertise in programming and operating CNC mills and lathes, preferably inclusive of 5-axis simultaneous milling operations and turning center work Should have experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desired Skills: Skill sets listed below are desired, but forward-leaning applicants willing to grow and develop in these areas are encouraged to apply.
Ability to obtain SolidWorks Professional Certification within 6 months Formal experience in adult education to include course and curriculum development, lesson planning, and student and course evaluation Professional interest in the future of manufacturing and emerging technologies Proficiency or the ability to grow expertise in sheet metal fabrication and welding processes, to include GMAW/GTAW/SMAW/EBW Preferred Qualifications Desired Skills: Skill sets listed below are desired, however applicants willing to grow and develop in these areas are encouraged to apply.
