OVERVIEW

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Senior Systems Administrator who will serve as the senior member of the Caribou Thunder IT team. With a robust background in systems administration, it will be your job to ensure compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS365 suite, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), DUO multi-factor authentication, DISA STIGs, and other critical technologies. You will play a pivotal role in configuring, managing, and scaling our IT infrastructure and ensuring robust security practices.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. CMMC Compliance:
    1. Recommending, selecting, and implementing security, policies, procedures, and tools in conjunction with the company’s security team in accordance with CMMC level 2 compliance.
    2. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance.
    3. Develop documentation for policies and procedures in line with CMMC standards.
  2. Systems Administration:
    1. Administrating and maintaining system software to support the system environment (upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations).
    2. Oversee and optimize domain administration, group policies, and user management.
    3. Perform DISA STIG configuration and compliance checks.
    4. Monitoring system performance, utilization, and trending to ensure system availability, reliability, redundancy, and sufficient capacity.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    1. Configure and maintain DUO multi-factor authentication systems.
    2. Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
    3. Leverage Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to manage projects and collaborate across teams.
    4. Assisting C-Suite in establishing a scalable technology baseline.
    5. Work closely with internal teams to support scaling and growth initiatives.
    6. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members.
    7. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
    8. Working with Director of Operations to establish/grow the IT backlog.


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 5-10+ years of systems administration experience.
  2. CompTIA Security+ is required.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related subject or equivalent experience.
  4. Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and other Cloud environments.
  5. Good operating knowledge of networking concepts.
  6. PowerShell Scripting.
  7. Hands-on firewall configuration experience.
  8. Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and SCRUM practices.
  9. Experience in security compliance and technical policy development.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Demonstrated hands-on experience with Security and Compliance (NIST 800-53, DISA STIG, CMMC).
  2. Experience in:
    1. Advanced Python scripting skills for task automation and process improvement.
    2. PreVeil configuration and management.
    3. InTune/EndPoint Management.
    4. Atlassian Suite configuration and management.
    5. DATTO RMM administration.
  3. Demonstrated hands-on experience with systems integrations and automation techniques:
    1. PowerShell scripting.
    2. Python Scripting.
    3. Group Policy.
    4. Domain/M365 administration.

The pay range for this role is:

90,000 - 120,000 USD per year (Colorado Springs, CO)
