United Health Services is seeking Respiratory Therapists to join our team in Johnson City, NY. This is a Benefits-Eligible position.
Potential for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000, depending on experience
May qualify for up to $20,000 in tuition forgiveness.
Shift: 7pm-7:30am Hours per week: minimum 36 hours Salary Range: $29.60-$44.40/hour

Respiratory Therapist Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Essential Functions: Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Administers respiratory therapy procedures as directed by the manager.
Performs Aerosol Therapy treatments.
Performs CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask therapy (secretion mobilization therapy).
Performs IPPB therapy.
Performs Incentive Spirometry therapy.
Performs M.D.I. therapy.
Performs Suctioning procedure.
Performs Extubation procedure.
Responsible for Oxygen Tank Safety.
Performs Oxygen Therapy on all approved devices.
Performs Therapist Driven Protocols as directed by policy (includes Patient Assessment).
Manages BiPAP-CPAP therapy and alarms.
Performs Cough Assist/Vest therapy.
Manages High Flow Cannula/Humidifier therapy and alarms.
Performs PFT with DLCO diagnostic procedure.
Performs Bronchoprovocation diagnostic procedure.
Performs Pulmonary Function Screen diagnostic procedure.
Performs Fit Testing procedure.
Performs Pulse Oximetery procedure.
Performs Pulmonary Stress Testing procedure.
Performs Bronchoscopy procedure.
Performs Adult EKG procedure.
Performs Pediatric EKG procedure.
Performs Holter Monitor setup.
Performs Adult CPR life support.
Performs Pediatric CPR life support.
Performs Neonatal CPR life support.
Manages Mechanical Ventilation.
Manages Ventilator Alarms.
Performs Arterial Puncture and Analysis for the Blood Gas Laboratory.
Manages patient healthcare information system (Soarian/EPIC).
Manages medication administration program (MAK).
Manages medication dispensing system (McKesson).
Cleans and disinfects bronchoscopes in accordance with infection control standards.
Verifies physicians written orders performing pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Records and reports appropriately the results of all procedures.
Performs CPR when necessary after certification.
Abides by the department Delivery Standards.
Maintains files and bookkeeping records in accordance with department policy.
Performs other related duties.
Assists in departmental in-service program.

Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
Minimum Required:
Graduation with an associate degree from an accredited School for Respiratory Therapy
Preferred:
One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist
License/Certification:
Minimum Required:
New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License
CPR Certification
ACLS within 3 months of hire
