Attention all Human Resources Generalists. Robert Half is working with a growing client to a hire a new Human Resources generalist. The HR Generalist is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. If you thrive in a dynamic work environment that requires the ability to balance multiple responsibilities, this may be the role for you.

Major responsibilities

- providing reports to the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs

- adhere to management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures

- Be present at interdepartmental meetings with managers

- Inform employees such that they follow all policies and procedures

- Understand and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings

- Organize historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records

- Generate recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws

- Lead human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees

- Analyze compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits

- Lead and define exit interviews and procedures

- Amplify the organization's human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices

- Manage all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team

- Ability to view issues with impartiality

- Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards

- Comfortable with handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

- Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution

- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

- Bachelor's degree in human resources or relevant experience

- PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred

- 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources

- Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks

- Knowledge of HR software and working knowledge of MS Office

- A familiarity with the main ideas of employment law and EEOC regulations

- Broad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
