Job Description

Summary

The Service Coordinator facilitates achieving a balance between the complexities of service availability and the customer needs and timeline demands while maintaining company profitability.
 
Core Responsibilities
  • Provide and maintain repair schedules for major (and minor) accounts for repairs of service and warranty work;
  • Set up work for all shifts so that the productivity shifts will be at the highest level possible; maintain our service
  • Appointment;
  • Provide information for present and scheduled jobs in order to procure the necessary parts and materials required; Tasks
  • Prepare, process and insure accuracy of all repair and warranty work orders;
  • Maintain a constant flow of work into the service department and take steps to fill empty time periods in the service schedule;
  • promote business for future work through customer satisfaction;
  • Respect and care for the customer “start to finish”.
  • Keep the customer informed of their service status in a timely and professional matter.
  • Inform customers of addition services and parts that can be purchased in addition to their current service.
  • Act as a worthy representative of Prevost at all times.
  • Foster teamwork and improved communication between sectors.
  • Respect the rules and guidelines of the company.
  • Comply with the quality and safety standards of the organization
  • Help customers understand their needed repairs and answer billing questions in a professional matter.
Required Competencies
  • Knows the importance of developing personal professional and technical skills on an ongoing basis
  • Must be organized
  • Have the ability to multitask and prioritize fulfillment of work orders quickly.
  • Customer service skills to maintain the customer satisfaction level in all situations.
  • Achieving a balance between customer expectations and corporate needs;
  • Frontline customer relationship and sales.
  • Must possess ability to resolve conflict with customers.
  • Desired but not required: Background in service and parts
  • Desired but not required: Knowledge of Prevost / Nova/ Volvo product lines and other coach manufactures.
Minimum Education & Skills Required
  • High school degree or equivalent and 1 year vocational or 2 years on-the-job related experience
  • Ability to read and write.
  • (Prefer) Typing (60-70 words/minute) & Basic computer Knowledge
  • Desired but not required Computer knowledge, Estimate building software such as Decisive, SAP, and Microsoft Office Products.
Minimum Years of Experience Required
  • 2-3 years experience with full filling workshop capacity to maximize productivity.
  • Desired but not required: 2-3 years warranty service related experience.
