CFS is working with our client to fill a Staff Accountant position. This company has over 400 employees, 100+ operating companies in portfolio, and works in a variety of industries to include insurance, litigation finance, consumer lending, software, aviation, and structured settlements.

The Staff Accountant responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements for several companies

• Input transactions into the accounting system and review for accuracy and reasonableness

• Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation

• Reconcile and make necessary adjustments to the Trial Balance

• Prepare various reconciliations including bank, Par, intercompany, and others

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts and board materials

• Work with other teams to assist with ad hoc projects as needed

• Comply with the development of accounting policies and procedures and internal controls policies and procedures

• Assist with systems implementations and special projects

• Overall responsible for providing accurate financial information and assisting in preparation of financial reports
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:

• Previous Public Accounting experience highly preferred

• Bachelors in accounting, CPA or CPA track

• Highly technically, ability to communicate effectively at all levels, organized, attention to detail

• Financial Service industry experience preferred, (i.e.: Private Equity, Insurance, Consumer lending, Commercial loans, Litigation finance, Structured settlements, Leases)

• SAP or other large ERP system experience is a huge plus
