The Director of Talent Acquisition will build and manage a team of in-house recruiters with the mandate to build a high performing, best in class talent acquisition function within D&S. This capability historically sat within Human Resources, but, in light of the company’s growth and continual need to fill its talent pipeline, the function will now report directly to Mickey Atkins, President and CEO, and work in collaboration with Human Resources.
The key areas of responsibilities include:
Establish and manage a best-in-class end to end recruiting process, including the design of a robust talent acquisition strategy, sourcing, interviewing, score carding, assessments, reference and background checks, and collaborate with Human Resources to ensure successful onboarding.
Build, train and manage a team of dedicated internal recruiters.
Ensure robust and timely communication across all stakeholders involved in the recruiting process.
Manage/monitor the company’s social media presence, e.g. LinkedIn, Indeed, Careerbuilder, Glassdoor and Facebook as it relates to recruiting.
Improve D&S’s “brand” as an employer of choice.
Work cross functionally to proactively assess the company’s business needs as it relates to ongoing recruiting and specific pain points.
Maintain visibility into existing compensation bands and balance with the current talent market.
Evaluate current talent acquisition supporting technologies, e.g. ATS, and make recommendations for improvements.
Track and analyze talent acquisition data to develop more robust KPIs.
Develop creative strategies to identify and recruit a high volume of candidates.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and become the subject matter expert on all recruiting issues and trends.
Provide business leaders with market intelligence such as the competitive landscape, evolution of roles, retention issues and compensation trends.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in business or human resources is preferred.
10 years of talent acquisition experience is required.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a mix of contingent search experience from the agency side as well as in house experience leading a team.
5+ years managing or performing the full life cycle talent acquisition process.
Strong knowledge of and experience using applicant tracking systems.
Quantifiable experience implementing and improving talent acquisition KPIs, preferably in house.
Prior roles that included managing a team of recruiters.
Familiarity with all sourcing channels, e.g. direct outreach, networking, Indeed, LinkedIn and other social media.
Exposure to multiple assessment methodologies.
