SC&A is seeking a nuclear/chemical engineering with a strong Health Physics background. Five to 10 years of experience in performing analyses and preparation of radiological impact sections of Safety Analysis Reports and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents for various nuclear projects, e.g., power plants, uranium mines, waste disposal facilities. Specific areas of expertise should include source term development, environmental transport (including groundwater, surface water, and airborne), and off-site deterministic and probabilistic (i.e., Monte Carlo) accident analysis. Knowledge of the various guidance documents related to radiological impact analysis is required, including NRC and DOE Regulations. Familiarity with NRC licensing process is a plus.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nuclear or Chemical Engineering. While the preferred location for the candidate is the Washington, DC area, qualified candidates will be considered throughout the US.
