Are you looking for a unique, truly innovative role? What if it could be with one of the most impactful IT companies in the world? Then we have the right opportunity- we are looking for a Systems/Software Engineer VII who will both provide support and lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort.
HPE Storage Networking is in need of a lead technical architect for adapters. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining specification documents for new and existing PCIe option cards used for storage networking customers. They will lead a team responsible for the evaluation and selection of new hardware as well as the evaluation of firmware and driver updates for existing hardware in this product line.
Required Skills
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
* 5+ years experience working with x86-64 computer systems.
* Familiarity with internal computer communication protocols. Examples: PCIe, I2C, MCTP
* Familiarity with computer networking protocols. Examples: Ethernet, Infiniband, Fibre Channel
* Scripting language programming experience Examples: Python, PERL, BASH Shell Scripting
* Familiar with digital circuitry and able to read block diagrams
* Familiar with Linux and/or VMWare OSes
