Summary

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing bids for assigned projects. The responsibilities of Senior Estimator include compiling a qualified bidders list; conveying invitations to bidders; soliciting bids; preparing estimates for all work, quantifying and pricing labor and materials; receiving bids; and reviewing bids to prepare total project costs.

Description

  • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Profile

  • Experience estimating on large ground up projects
  • 10+ Years of construction experience required
  • 8+ years in Estimator title preferred
  • Background estimating projects $20+ million a strong bonus
  • Ability to effectively lead and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
