- B.S. Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Science Degree with 8+ years’ of post-college, industry experience out foods, pharmaceuticals or any other GMP regulated manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of management experience supervising 30+ personnel
- An ideal candidate would have a strong Six-Sigma background (green-belt or black-belt certified)
Our client is one of the world leaders in the production of food additives, natural supplements, active pharmaceuticals ingredients, resins, and specialty chemicals with 15 U.S. production facilities and multiple sites overseas. This medium-sized facility produces FDA/GMP-regulated food additives utilizing PLC and DCS controlled mixers and spray dryers. Internally, this person is called a Plant Manager and will have oversight over one of three production/business plants. They will have 40 direct reports including, front-line supervisors, quality personnel, and supply chain personnel. This person will also be responsible for EHS, equipment reliability, crisis management, compliance with internal finance and insurance standards, budget preparation, monitoring of KPI’s, assisting with six-sigma updates, and improving process conditions. This site houses a variety of engineers including R&D, six sigma, process, DCS/PLC, and project engineers. There is tremendous potential for growth at this site and could lead to promotions to other U.S. or overseas plants.
