Department overview

The Global Markets Group (GMG) provides workflow and data solutions for managing and executing equity, fixed income and municipal bond transactions in the primary markets. The GMG Fixed Income group provides Primary Market tools to facilitate fixed income new issuance, including syndication, book building, information and communications between issuers, investors and financial intermediaries. Our businesses support market participants engaging in capital formation. Our products are used globally by banks, investors and issuers and the resulting network helps market participants operate more efficiently and accurately.

Position summary

S&P Global is in seeking a senior fixed income executive who is highly experienced in capital markets, and technology tools and services to join our senior leadership team. As an ideal candidate, youve previously led strategy formulation, commercial planning, Joint ventures and executed day-to-day activities within fixed income markets. You have strong experience in the issuance and syndication processes of Fixed Income including deep knowledge of secondary trading and maintain a strong network of senior relationships across both the buyside and sellside. In this role you are an recognized expert on the ecosystem of fixed income capital markets.

Duties & accountabilities

Drive commercial strategy for our Global Markets Corporate Fixed Income group

Partner with client coverage and product teams to influence design and implementation of new workflow and data products

Lead commercial market facing activities and influence clients, regulators & industry groups as a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader

Establish and grow relationships with our global clients segments

Source partnerships to drive revenue

Build and manage a high performing team of key SME globally

Strong financial acumen with track record of success managing a P&L

Exceptional ability to work cross functionally, and influence

Contribute to strategic direction of global markets as member of senior leadership

Culture carrier within S&P Global

Skills and Qualifications

Masters degree in business, management, or related field or equivalent experience

Deep relationships across debt capital markets, traders, PMs, and fixed income operations

Previous experience developing and executing strategy and leading teams

Outstanding poise in a fast-paced and demanding business environment

Senior Executive presence

Strong financial acumen with track record of success managing a P&L

Culture carrier within S&P Global

Preferred Qualifications

15+ years experience within Fixed Income / debt capital markets and financial technology

Demonstrated track record working across technology, data and information systems software

Experience with debt primary market services, tools, and technologies

Recognized expert within the fixed income community with a global perspective

Analytical mindset with strong commercial focus

Prior financial services industry experience and up-to-date knowledge of relevant trends

Strong financial acumen with track record of success managing a P&L
