Program Administrator, Climate and Sustainability

NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing New York, NY (Onsite) Full-Time

Position Summary

The Program Administrator, Climate and Sustainability, will manage programmatic, administrative, operational, and co-curricular activities and communications for the Climate and Sustainability Initiative. The individual will report to the Vice Provost of University-Wide Initiatives and partner with the Office of Sustainability, Office of Research Development, and other university and school units, in the planning and execution of meetings, activities, and events. The Program Administrator will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of new programming, and build connections with faculty, staff, and students. The role will develop and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholder groups, oversee social media and website communications, and maintain an updated schedule of events, activities, and programming. The Program Administrator will gather and analyze data to inform improvements to the Initiative’s programming and to increase operational efficiencies. The individual will manage budgets for programming and direct student employees and/or volunteers as required.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

2+ years Experience administering academic or research programs and events, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Strong organizational and project coordination skills, including time management, planning, and orientation to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation delivery skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and sustain effective relationships in support of project goals, and interacting with diverse constituencies. Proficiency with standard office productivity software, including basic data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workplace, Adobe Creative Suite, web design using CMS, and basic graphic design.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Experience in climate and sustainability fields, with knowledge of common issues, terminology, and areas of focus. Experience with fundraising and/or grant development.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
