Job Description

The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 11 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruits, screens and refers candidates for position openings. Coordinates and monitors various selections within assigned departments and counsels business clients as needed regarding appropriate employment practices.  Provides support to a variety of recruiting efforts, which may include college and internet recruitment and the use of recruitment firms.  Prepares job postings and assists management in the development of appropriate selection instruments.  Screens applicants by conducting initial screenings/interviews and documenting results, and refers qualified candidates to appropriate management for final interviews.  Checks references and candidates background in accordance with E.E.0. guidelines and established company practices.  Ensures proper documentation of management's employment selection and discusses appropriate starting salary and other terms and conditions of employment with management personnel.  Extends offer of employment to selected candidates and coordinates all related hiring activities and paperwork.  Notifies candidates who have not been selected by letter or telephone.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in recruitment, screening, interviewing and placement.

High volume recruiting and sourcing

Work Environment

Works in a temperature controlled office environment.


Required Qualifications:

College level coursework in Personnel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.  Bachelor's degree preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • EEO and Affirmative Action Guidelines
  • State and Federal selection and hiring regulations
  • Effective recruiting techniques

Strong organization and planning skills.

Ability to:

  • Consult with business clients to resolve staffing issues
  • Analyze and define resource and skill requirements for the purpose of recruiting and screening candidates
  • Develop selection instruments 
  • Coordinate projects including group selections
  • Work under pressure to fill open positions in a timely manner
  • Effectively interact extensively with others in the work environment
  • Communicate effectively with the public
  • Prepare and present effective presentations to a variety of audiences (one on one, small group, large group)
Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
