TITLE: IT Customer Service Trainee
TYPE: Contract
LOCATION: North Wales, PA
START DATE: Immediate
Schedule: starting between 8 am-12 pm and going 9 hours with a 1-hour unpaid break. At least 1 weekend day per week is required.

Are you looking to transition from a customer service professional into the tech support field? We may have the right opportunity for you. Our client located near North Wales, PA has an immediate need for multiple customer-service-centric professionals who have a strong phone presence and a good understanding of technology. This fast-growing company has an excellent culture and will train you on everything you need to know about their products in order to successfully support their customers. MUST have a car - this role is not public transit accessible.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to customers who have varying levels of technical ability
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment and think on your toes
  • Communicate effectively to both external customers and internal employees/managers
  • Continue to gain product and technical knowledge
  • Follow company/departmental procedures
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of customer service experience working with the general public either face to face or over the phone (restaurant, retail, call center, etc.).
  • Experience on a formal service desk is preferred but entry level is fine for this position.
  • Strong understanding of technology. If you don't have a degree in Tech, that's fine as long as you are the person who can figure things out quickly.
  • Ability to learn quickly and take direction as needed
  • Comfort with working over the phone 100% of the time
  • Working knowledge of both Microsoft and Linux platforms
  • Reliable transportation is necessary
  • Ability and desire to work the overnight shift in order to support customers around the globe.
  • Ability to work at least one weekend day per week.
  • Experience with Linux OS is a plus but not required.
  • CompTIA A+ certification is a plus but not required
