Join Optum Corporate Finance, where you will be on a collaborative and dedicated team providing strategic finance support to senior leaders across the organization. Our Clinical Finance team participates in financial forecasting, ad-hoc financial initiatives, and drives productivity efficiencies for Optum’s Home & Community business. Our highly skilled team of financial professionals offers an immense range of background, experience, and networks to provide guidance and support, ensuring that every team member thrives.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Develop and perform the analyses of business and financial metrics as well as performance measures

  • Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget

  • Understand and incorporate industry specific metrics into reports to highlight relevant trends and support fact-based business decisions

  • Develop and perform all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

  • Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies

  • Produce clear, well-formatted reports that communicate a clear, compelling message for their stakeholders

Required Qualifications:




  • 1+ years of financial and/or accounting experience

  • Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (experience with pivot tables, database / logic formulas, etc.)

  • Proven solid attention to detail and accuracy





Preferred Qualifications:




  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Hyperion Essbase, Planning and PeopleSoft Financials

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $56,300 to $110,400. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
